The story

Star Jalsha is part of a portfolio of entertainment channels, owned by the Star TV network, and led by the flagship national channel Star Plus. venturethree is creating a family of Mass Fantastic brands for Star. The new brand for Star Jalsha reinstates its core philosophy - "Chalo paltai", meaning "Let's make a change". With new content, new show formats and now a beautiful new brand, the channel offers a fresh perspective, keeping up with the changing emotions and trends in society

How did we bring it to life

We developed a glittering new crystal star logo to represent clarity, optimism and aspiration. At the centre of the star is a red hot 'swoosh' - linking the Star Jalsha to the other Star entertainment brands. We joined forces with London-based The Council and Star's in-house team, to co-create the new on-air packaging; a dynamic new OSP system and a series of brilliant idents, featuring protagonists in the shimmering crystal world. We worked with Star's in-house team to develop the launch campaign creative and off-air templates, using the highlight of red to allow the new brand to shine in the crystal world and putting the show's new protagonists centre stage.
